UHC and Optum behavioral health
For most UnitedHealthcare members, behavioral health benefits are administered through Optum. The good news: from your end, this is invisible — same UHC card. We bill Optum directly.
What's covered
Most UHC plans cover individual therapy, couples therapy (in some plan types), family therapy, and EMDR. Copays typically $25-$50. We verify your specific benefits before your first appointment.
How long until I can be seen?
Same-week appointments are standard. If urgent, call (631) 371-2718 and we'll work to fit you in within 24-72 hours.
Telehealth covered too
UnitedHealthcare covers telehealth at the same rate as in-person. If summer traffic is brutal, telehealth is fully covered.
