• Sessions covered: Most UHC plans cover unlimited medically necessary sessions per year
• Authorization: Most commercial UHC plans don’t require pre-auth for outpatient therapy
• Telehealth: Covered at parity with in-person
• Optum Behavioral Health: UHC’s behavioral health is administered through Optum on most plans. We bill through Optum where applicable. You don’t need to do anything different.
• Out-of-network: UHC PPOs typically have out-of-network reimbursement if needed.
