Anxiety Therapy in Huntington, NY

By Happy Pro, Counseling Team · May 30, 2026 · 2 min read

Anxiety is the most common mental health concern in adults, and most of what we work with is the quiet kind. The version that does not look like anxiety from the outside. Treatable, almost every time.

Huntington runs from the LIRR line up to the Long Island Sound, taking in Huntington Village, Halesite, Centerport, Northport, and Cold Spring Harbor. The Town is one of the wealthier on Long Island and the strain we hear in sessions reflects that. High-achieving households where both adults are managing big jobs, kids in highly-ranked schools, parents who feel the weight of their adult children moving back home, and a quiet undercurrent in the lab and biotech community around Cold Spring Harbor. Heckscher Park and Caumsett help, but they do not solve the wakeups at 3 a.m.

How anxiety therapy works here

Most outpatient anxiety therapy is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure work, or acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). All three are evidence-based, and most people see meaningful change inside eight to sixteen sessions. Our Clinical Director is also EMDR-trained, which is useful for panic and phobia work with an identifiable trigger.

What it costs

The insurance mix in Huntington skews heavily toward commercial PPOs through finance, law, biotech, and the school districts. We are in network with the major plans and verify your specific benefits in writing before the first session. With most in-network plans (Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, Northwell Direct), the typical out of pocket cost is between $0 and $40 per session, depending on your specific plan. Coverage may vary; we check your specific benefits in writing before your first session at no cost. Send your insurance information here.

If we are not in network with your plan, you may still have out of network benefits that reimburse a portion. The payment options page walks through the Mentaya tool to check that quickly. Self-pay rates are listed there too.
